Easiest Sewing project EVER!

I have been wanting to make Little Girl a Red Riding Hood for two years.  It would be great for biking in.  And, let’s be fair, so cute I could hardly stand it.  I have been thinking about knitting one, but I don’t knit fast and they are all like 10 ball projects.

Then I found this one:

There is a kids version, that I downloaded, but a quick bit of mental math showed that it would still be a little big.  So I printed it at about 90%.  The hood still seemed big, so I ended up reprinting it at 80%.  I lay out my pattern pieces on my fleece and took a picture:

I cut out the pieces, but that didn’t seem picture worthy.  On the other hand, there are only four seem to sew and then you have this:

You don’t have to finish the edges because fleece doesn’t fray and it would change how it falls.  Seriously.   So damn easy!

ETA: I bought 1 meter of fabric, but could easily have done with 0.8m.  I had a meter of pink ribbon left over from something else.  I think it came on chocolates or pajamas or something.  My total costs were about $12 and less than 20 minutes of time.  After a little consideration, I opened some slits in the side seems at elbow height so she can reach for things without opening the front.
