Fresh Bread

by Erin B

It’s 7:15am on a Saturday morning and I have already been up for about half an hour. I am the only one in the house who is currently awake. I can not blame this on Toddler-girl.

I know I have blogged before about how the Bread in Five Minutes book has changed how we eat, but here I go again. I am baking caramel sticky buns. I had dough left over in the fridge, it had been there for a little while, so… I rolled out and assembled my buns last night. I let them rise in the fridge overnight and they are currently in the oven driving me nuts with how good they smell. (Picture to be added later).

I don’t think this book has changed how much bread we eat, but it certainly has changed how much we enjoy it. Instead of having a doughnut shop run on Saturday morning, I am going to have fresh brewed Hawaiian coffee T’s parents brought back for fr us last week and fresh out of the oven cinnamon buns.

It feels like a win!

The only part that was not a win was that I didn’t get to taste any! 🙂 LOL
