Almost done for the season

While I am feeling better after my fun with bronchitis, I have to admidt I am not back on my bike as much as I was.  I still bike to the library for story time with Toddler girl, but I’m not really biking everywhere anymore.  It’s getting cold and I am not feeling up to it.

Does that mean I am done with biking for the year. No.  Maybe.  Sort of.  I have two bike projects I want to work on over the winter.  But I don’t have space set up to work yet.  It is on my to do list…..

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure if I will get to that before the end of December.  I have people to knit for and projects to finish before Christmas.  And knitting has gotten weird.  I don’t have a lot of supplies and I am having a hard time getting organized for my Christmas projects.  I either can’t get the needles, or the yarn or life is just preventing me from knitting.

C wants this yarn:

Fine, but it uses 8mm needles!  I have never knit anything that big before!  Plus, my LYS is currently out of stock in that size in the brand I like.

I suppose it is only fitting that I am taking a seasonal break from biking to knit warmer clothes so I could maybe bike later in the season next year.  I also have a request to teach V how to knit the pattern I am currently working on.  AND  I want to hurry up and finish the sweater I am working on because I want a cowl for myself.

I’m working on a soccer scarf in the Dimwell Old Pals team colors, but I am currently not too impressed with how it is turning out.  I’m sure it will be fine when I get to the end, but half way through it doesn’t look that great…

So much knitting, so little time!

So, for those of you who coming for the biking related stuff, hold tight, it could be a while.  If you like cooking and knitting, there should be a lot coming down the pipe.  And if you want to follow along, I will try to remember to post links to projects as I start them.
