Fall classes

It’s that time of year again.  This time, I’m going to try to sign myself up too.  Adult stoke improvement here I come!

V made the volley ball team at school and that is going to make the days longer too.  Practice goes until 5pm.  Last year we could almost be sitting down to supper by then.  This year, I am going to have to figure out a good snack schedule for Toddler girl so that she can make it to family supper time with out melting down.

V is also completely stoked by the Peugeot.  It doesn’t fit yet, I knew it wouldn’t.  This summer, however, she went from barely being tall enough for her 10 speed to almost being too tall for it.   We will see.  If I didn’t get it, we would never have a chance like that again.  We spent a little time figuring out what to do for her birthday.  It’s next week, but this weekend is the nearest time for a party.  I will have a house full Friday night.

We are really back into the crazy part of the year again.  October will be a little better because we will be back into a routine, but the next couple of weeks are going to be a problem.

Toddler is NOT in a good sleep pattern right now.  I have to try to fix that too.  I think it’s time for the afternoon nap to go.  She has been up until 11pm for the last few nights, but then sleeps for three hours in the afternoon.  If I cut that back to 1 hour, maybe she would sleep better at night.  The problem is, she freaks out when you wake her up from afternoon nap before she wakes herself up.

I’m going to have to do something.

Could you go into her room and maybe quietly turn on a small light or open the curtains slightly, which will signal to her brain that it’s time to get up? Hopefully you’ll be gone by the time she wakes, so she’ll still think it was her idea. 🙂

We are working on that…. Unfortunately, she can sleep just fine for hours with the lights on if she needs to. And she needs to because she was up until late the night before…
